In June of 2008, District of Columbia Aquatics Club (DCAC) will host the IGLA World Championships. The IGLA Championships is an annual event that brings together LGBT aquatics athletes and their supporters for a week of competition, camaraderie, and fun. Every fourth year, the IGLA Championships are included in the Gay Games, essentially, the LGBT Olympics. This week-long international event will bring approximately 2,500 swimmers, divers, water polo players, and synchronized swimmers—as well as their family and friends—to the Washington DC metro area to compete in their respective disciplines and to enjoy the culture, history, and entertainment that make Washington so special.

As an entirely volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, DCAC needs the support of corporations/organizations and individuals to host a successful, world-class championships. DCAC has Federal 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status. Contributions to the club are tax deductible. The club actively seeks sponsors and will both in-kind and cash donations. All sponsorship categories are flexible to suit the needs of your business.
