SANCTIONING

AWARDS

Individual Awards: Medals 1st, 2nd,  and 3rd
Relay Awards: Medals 1st 2nd and 3rd

Team trophies will be awarded at the Awards Banquet for 1st place in each Large, Medium and Small division categories. Teams that finish in 2nd and 3rd place in each of the categories will be recognized at the Banquet as well. Only teams that are members of IGLA at the close of registration are eligible for IGLA team trophies.

ELIGIBILITY FOR IGLA TEAM TROPHIES

Once registration has been closed, the IGLA board will divide the IGLA teams entered into the IGLA championships into Small, Medium, and Large team categories. The board will only know how many teams have entered the meet and the number of swimmers entered on each team, but not the team name when determining team size classification.
Team classification will be posted on prior to the competition and will be sent to team representatives via email. Team classification is determined by the number of swimmers from each team entered into the competition. A large team will not be reclassified as a Medium or Small Team if the number of competitors who actually participate in the meet drops.
